Dr. Theodore DeCorso

Ted DeCorso, a native of Waterbury CT, is a clarinetist who has performed as a
soloist and in chamber and orchestral groups in much of the U.S. including
Carnegie Recital Hall, Seattle WA, the East Coast and in Europe and China.

In the 1960's he served with the US Army Field Band as Advance Tour Officer. He
is a retired Professor Emeritus of Music from the Univ. of Alaska, Fairbanks where
he was head of the Dept of Music and Director of the month-long UAF Summer
Fine Arts camp attracting over 400 students, annually, from Alaska and other
states. He has conducted many groups in orchestral, concert and jazz band settings.

He currently is adjunct Music Instructor at the Univ. of Tampa and performs
regularly with the Music faculty there. He is also Music Director of the Suncoast
Symphony Orchestra here in Pinellas County which performs a series of concerts
yearly.

In summer he directs the Blaine Jazz Music Festival in Washington State. He has a
Masters in Music degree in Clarinet from the Juilliard School and B.S and P.H.D
Degrees from the Univ. of Connecticut.
Max Millspaugh

Max has been involved in community bands for several years.  While living in
Indiana, he directed the Kokomo Park Band and was member and guest conductor
of the America's Hometown Band and Jazz Band in Muncie, Indiana.  Max also
played in many Community Orchestras including the Muncie Symphony Orchestra,
the Iowa Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and the  Kokomo Symphony
Orchestra.

Presently, besides his association with the South Pasadena Band Band, he is a
member and associate conductor of the Clearwater Community Band.  Max also
plays in local dance bands.

Max's musical training includes the Navy School of Music and playing in Navy
bands for three years.  B.S. and M.A. in Music Education from Ball State University
acting as Assistant Director of Bands while pursuing his Masters Degree.  He also
has one year of post graduate education at the University of Iowa.   Max is a retired
music educator with over 40 years teaching as a band director and studio teacher of
trombone and low brass for secondary and college level students.
Dr. John Kurnik

John has a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, a Masters in Music
from the University of Miami, and a B.A. in Music Education and Performance
from Westfield State University in Massachusetts.
